The Minnesota Loons typically practice twice a week. Practices are open, but we do ask that you come to one of our New Player Meetups the first time you play underwater hockey. To see when the next New Player meeting is, please check our calendar on Meetup.

Most practices consist of a short warm-up where players work individually or in small groups on building skills. We then break into two teams (or more) and scrimmage for the remainder of practice. We always try to keep the teams balanced so that players of all levels are get a fun, challenging and rewarding experience.

Schedules change, so please always check our Meetup page for the most up-to-date practice schedule.

Oxford Community Center - Wednesdays 8:30

Join us Wednesday nights at the Oxford Community Center. It may be deep but the tile is great and the shallow warm-up area is perfect to work on stick skills.

When you walk in, tell the Front Desk that you are with Underwater Hockey and they will buzz you into the locker room area. Bring a lock.

University of Minnesota Aquatic Center - Sundays 6:00

We practice at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center most Sunday nights during the school year. This pool is so amazing that we have hosted five USA National Tournaments here, including the largest Nationals ever in June 2014. The flat 7' bottom with small tile makes for a fast and challenging game every Sunday.
